ZTE Star II Review and Specs

The ZTE Star II is a flagship device which looks like one capable of giving many of the popular, high-end smartphones on the market stiff
competition. With its stylish look and unique, premium features, the phone is one of the devices released in recent months by ZTE to boost its profile as a top smartphone maker alongside the usual suspects.

ZTE Star 2 is way better than its predecessor the Star 1.

The Design
ZTE Star 2 features a sleek and elegant look with its brushed aluminium edges, thin bezels and back made of durable-looking plastic. Coming in at just 6.9mm, the smartphone competes favourably well with the more expensive iPhone 6 in terms of thinness.

The unibody design really works well for the ZTE Star 2, which is covered both front and back with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Display and Camera
ZTE Star 2 is fitted with an impressive 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and 441 ppi pixel density. The screen gives off brilliant
colours making for a great viewing experience.

ZTE Star 2 has 13 megapixels rear camera with a non-spherical lens, an F2.0 aperture and a dual-LED flash. This camera is capable of recording 1080p HD videos at 60fps and 4K HD (ultra HD) videos at 30fps.

There is also a 5 megapixels front-facing camera with an 88-degree, wide-angle lens and an F2.2 aperture.

Processor and Software
The phone is designed for good enough performance with the provision of a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz and an Adreno 330 GPU for graphics. RAM of 2GB capacity comes with the ZTE Star 2 to support efficient appfunctions.

Internal storage is 16GB, with a microSD slot provided to expand storage memory up to 64GB with memory cards. The device runs on ZTE’s MiFavor 3.0, which is based on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and has been
significantly customized. ZTE Star 2 uses a 2300mAhbattery.

There are also a number of other important features on the Star 2, which is expected to sell for around $400- $500. Significant among these features is Smart Voice – a voice-recognition tool which can be used to access and voice control the smartphone, even when it is offline.
