Twitter Cracking Down on 'Revenge Porn'

Twitter said it will process complaints through its “Trust & Safety team” worldwide, 24 hours a day. This is in a move to take down such intimate photos and videos.

Administration and moderation of content on twitter can be hard. This is so because twitter has a large number of users which makes it unable to moderate every tweet.

Twitter cautioned that not all unwanted postings will be forbidden under the new rules — such as in the case of last fall’s celebrity photo hacking scandal that flooded Twitter with naked pictures of actress Jennifer Lawrence.

“We may consider the context and nature of the information posted, local privacy laws, and other case-specific facts,” Twitter said.
