Tecno Mobile have so many concentrated on the Tecno Camon C8 until they have forgotten their first 4G and first to run on Android Lollipop the Tecno Camon C5. That’s not the best here but Tecno Camon C8 as we know was among the first to start receiving OTA updates directly. And this is why even now Tecno Camon C8 is running on Marshmallow for users who are interested in testing new things and having a new fell and a redone interface. We have another kid from Tecno that’s barely three months old, Tecno Boom J8, the successor of the Tecno Boom J7 that was the first Tecno Mobile smartphone to have a redone interface and great design. Many new Tecno phones have borrowed somehow from the design of the Tecno Boom J7. Tecno Boom J8 was the first smartphone to come with the new Tecno Mobile user interface, the HiOS out-of-box unlike Tecno Camon C8 that received the HiOS update via OTA. You can read about my review of the new UI interface the HiOS.
Both Tecno Boom J8 and Tecno Camon C8 are absolutely good phones, carrying an overhaul of wonderful specifications that goes far beyond just smartphones. Both smartphones cost barely the same and this is due to the similarity in some aspects like the specs, internal storage, RAM and so on.
Tecno Camon C8 was released as a selfie centric phone thanks to the much lauded cameras of the Tecno Camon C8, carrying 13 megapixels primary camera and able front camera with LED flash would put it in those shoes. However, Tecno Boom J8 also is one of the Boom Series meaning this is an entertainment and purely music phone with colorful and better designed speakers and microphone at the lower part of the Boom J8. Another thing that boosts its music mode is the Boom Player and the Boom Headphones that would come with the phone whenever you bought it.
