For those folks who have great love for Weather app on your smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S6 lacks that. It doen’t mean that the phone completely has no weather updates. No. The phone has weather as an integrated app among the Samsung’s integrated apps. You won’t find the weather app if you went searching for it in the app launcher.

Samsung Galaxy S6 missing the weather App

Samsung Galaxy S6 utilizes widgets to show weather updates on the Galaxy S6 screen. However there is no icon in the app drawar that will let you launch the app to see more of weather updates. Upon clicking the weather widgets you will be taken to a page where you can check weather for any place that you wish. Well is this a bad move or  good move for Samsung. As it stands maybe some people hate the weather updates showing up on their handsets well they also maybe consume their data so would love it hen it is done away with.

While you may have a favorite weather app to turn to for what is happening near you, a lot of folks rely on whatever app is handy. For some that means the weather notifications through Google Now are perfect, while others rely on that quick glance baked into their favorite clock widget.

Just like most Android phones, the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge offers a clock widget with weather built in that pops up as soon as you hit the home screen for the first time. This same weather information is available on the lock screen, as well as the Information Stream on the Galaxy S6 edge. It’s powered by Accuweather, and works reasonably well for offering up a quick glance at your current weather.

There is a little downside of this integration by Samsung on those individuals who would love to use the clock widget without weather update. However, you can disable weather updates to show up on your screen just with a click
