Safaricom ties up with Rotary Club for community schemes

Kenyan Telecommunications’ giant Safaricom’s Foundation together with its sister foundation the M-Pesa Foundation have signed an agreement with Rotary International. This is to help explore partnerships to implement community projects that are to be implemented in Kenya.
The Memorandum of Understanding they signed will critically offer a look at community programs in Kenya. The sectors that will be of much focus on education programs, water issues and also regarding the quality of water and how sanitation is solved.

Safaricom_FoundationApart from that the partnership also has a critical view on maternal and child health and economic empowerment among women and the youth which will see that the economic power is enhanced and encouraged among the youth and women.
Safaricom Foundation’s Chairman Mr. Joseph Ogutu said in a statement that Safaricom is very keen on implementing sustainable community projects that have a bigger and long-term impact as opposed to other poor projects that are carried out which are unsustainable too.

This is another better way Safaricom is giving back to the community. And a good organization or company usually does this to gain the public trust in their products.
