I am not so much of a big fan of Safaricom branded products majorly smartphones. Many people treat them as being genuine because they have that trust in Safaricom. Safaricom branded phones have become more prominent with the neon series of smartphones under their name. The latest is the Safaricom Neon Turbo 7 which retails at a cost of Kes. 7,500/= only.
Considering the price, there are a couple of devices that still perform better than the $75 priced Neon Turbo 7.

Neon Turbo 7 isn’t the best to be priced at Kshs. 7,500/- considering the 8GB ROM, 5.0″ screen and alongside that having 1GB RAM.
The phone runs on Android of course. Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is equipped with a quad core processor clocking at 1.2GHz. The phone lacks any UI and uses stock app icons with no customization whatsoever.
The device also has 1GB RAM which promises some good but not better performance. This can handle social apps such as WhatsApp (Find out how you can pin a chat in WhatsApp), Instagram and Facebook, Messenger etc. The internal storage is 8GB that’s not enough but it has an SD card slot to pick up some 32GB on maxout.
It is light and supports 4G. Plus it supports microSIM only. The device supports of course Wi-Fi, has Bluetooth connectivity and also microUSB.
The neon turbo 7 has a lithium ion polymer battery of capacity 2000mAh.
