Neon smartphone was the least performance though cheap the specs would not wow you. Going at 9k, Safaricom Neon Sky doesn’t please too much with its specs. Am glad it is a 4G/LTE enabled and still automatically fall under my 4G smartphones. However the case have a look at the device specifications.

We’re now talking of 5.5′ incher displays the AMOLED,  IPS etc but here we are given a 4.5 inch device screen. Well it’s not bad for startup but sincerely am not amazed with the size of display and probably quality is another thing.

Running on Android Lollipop is a tick ✅. Marshallow uptake isn’t that much so Lollipop will do better. With the quad core Qualcomm MSM8909 processor clocking at 1.2GHz performance is good.

Featuring a 5.0 megapixel back camera ? is awesome but probably this should have been the front one. The camera sports a flashlight that’s if you want to use your phone as a torch plus capture moments in  light. The front camera of the Safaricom Neon Sky is a 2.0MP camera.

Am happy it is a 4G enabled handset. The only problem only two large cities in Kenya have 4G connectivity. So 3G might serve better for you. But if you need a 4G smartphone then this is one.

Storage-wise am a bit impressed. 1GB primary memory working with A Qualcomm Snapdragon processor will sincerely deliver.  It also features an 8GB internal storage with under 4GB available for use. If that’s not enough it sports a MicroSD card slot to expand that damn storage.

The battery is a complete setback. A 1780mAh for a 4G Android Lollipop device?  This is a very big joke.  Better 4G smartphones should have at least a 2800mAh+ battery capacity not a meagre like this one.
